Update - February 2024

Firstly, and for Association members only, Cliff Hilditch’s family will be having a family only funeral service but they will have a memorial service, the details of which can be found in the ‘Members Only’ section. Hopefully you still have the password sent to you by the Chairman?!?

I have made a number of updates to the website after its first publication in November 2023.

Other additions and updates are listed below:

• Mark Postlethwaite has very kindly written a short piece about his connection to 30 Sqn and how he got involved with the Squadron Association. As some of you know, Mark has created a number of brilliant painting of our aircraft both past and present. You can read about Mark under ‘People’ in the main menu.

• Also Chapter II of the Sqn’s potted history has been published, with Chapter III coming soon. Please visit ‘History/Brief History’ in the main menu.

• Some of you may have noticed that the ‘Comments’ part of some entries have not been working. They do now! Please feel free to enter your comment under articles where the Comments box is available

• Under the ‘Memorial/Battle of Crete’ I have added a few photographs taken by Michael Vellacott on his last visit to Meleme - take a look.

• Finally, if you served on 30 Sqn please send me an article (and photos if you have them) so I can add them to the ‘When I…” page on the site. Please send them to me, the Web Manager. My contact details are on the ‘Contact’ page.
